Life of Pi is an unforgettable adventure about survival, faith, and the power of storytelling, following sixteen-year-old Pi Patel as he becomes stranded at sea with a Bengal tiger (Richard Parker). Blending danger, wonder, and philosophy, the novel takes readers on a gripping journey that challenges the boundary between truth and imagination.
The Collectors Edition will be hand bound in blue cloth and housed in a plush lined slipcase. The tigris cloth slipcase is enhanced with an embossed title label. Tiger stripes are on both the head and tail of the slipcase. The plush lined slipcase comfortably houses the book.
Book details:
The blue cloth boards of the book depict a lifeboat at sea, with maritime waves that suggest the tiger's stripes. The back cover has a gold embossed claw swipe.
The 288 pages are printed offset on 130gsm superior matt paper with colour drop caps starting each of the 100 chapters. A frontispiece shows a dangerous Richard Parker facing the viewer in the lifeboat. There are 16 illustrations and two of them are double-page spreads.

This limited Edition release consists of four bindings of only 570 copies:
Pi is the 16th letter of the Greek alphabet, and Pi Patel was 16 years old when adrift at sea with Richard Parker. The number 16 is also the number of illustrations: 13 full page and 3 vignettes.
There are 100 chapters to this adventure
227 Collectors and 227 Artist Editions.
Pi's journey adrift at sea lasted 227 days. Also, if you divide 22 by 7 you get a number that is 3.14... quite close to π
